Well, that is exactly what is going to happen not too long from now. There will appear a man who will be able to solve all the problems of the world and will take over as dictator of the world. He will be the ANTICHRIST.

He will bring peace to the earth for 3.5 years then he will sit on the throne and say he is God. There will be hell on earth for the next 3.5 years until Jesus comes back and chains up Satin for 1000 years, and sets up His kingdom here on earth.

You'd have a big problem. The Christians believe Jesus is the saviour and the son of God. The Muslims believe he was a prophet, but that his words have been twisted in the Bible. The Jews are still awaiting their Messiah. All three believe that their path is the only path. How would you ever reconcile these differences?

So everyone becomes Buddhist? You're asking what happens if everyone becomes buddhist. No, that wouldn't lead to world unity, as evidenced by the fact that there's no Asian unity yet.

Religion isn't really the reason people hate eachother, it's just a convenient excuse. It's human nature to despise eachothers differences.

that would be nice, but, right now, there is too much hate. the only uniting that could take place would have to mean extreme conditions (world war) that would make people concentrate on something else for a while, and a war never worth that

Sorry, but I think that everyone's beliefs are set down. You can make as many new religions you want, but that doesn't mean that everyone is going to go with it. I am happy being an agnostic cultural reform Jew and I'm not going to change any time soon.

After the rapture of the church, the anti christ is going to try this very thing. A one world religion, that has nothing to do with Jesus Christ...your first indication that something will be seriously wrong.

It's a beautiful idea but it will never happen. The enmity between the religions you mentioned will be about the end of the world.

Eureka, all you need to do now is fly to the Middle East and make a speech containing this solution to the baying mobs!

The religion you speak of already exists.
It does work and does, indeed, yield unity.
Listen, next time they knock on your door.
