Please help a teen out. I am getting a haircut today and am pretty sure that I want bangs. Would long side swept bangs work with an oval fave and wavy brown hair?

Bangs are NOT out, they are actually coming back for fall........These stylish bangs are the longish, fringey bangs-->Think Selma Blair type, they've been featured in Elle, In Style, Seventeen, Teen Vogue, etc. The blunt, short bangs make a face appear larger , width-wise, and also in my personal opinion, they're never flattering. This week, I'm also getting bangs, that hit just at the brow, just a few pieces.

Do the bangs. But keep the length to at least down to your chin. That way you can pull them behind your ear or pin them back if you decide youre not comfortable with them. I have side swept long bangs and I love em. My hair is wavy too but I straighten it with my Chi flat iron.

Depends on how old you want to look. Short bangs that hang down look very...little-girlish. Swept back looks somewhat more mature, but I'm probably the wrong guy for the question. I think straight up long hair it what looks good on any girl.

yes, i agree an oval face looks good with anything. I love side swept bangs, theyre great. Go for it ;)

An oval face can get away with practically anything.....they're lucky, Make sure your stylist understands wavy hair because you don't want a big fuzz ball instead of bangs.

First of all DON'T get the gay bangs......if you don't know what they are let me inform you........their when they stop at the middle of your forehead and don't even come close to reaching your eye brows.......but if you have wavy hair like you say... you really shouldn't get bangs unless your going to straighten them down everyday.................because if you don't you will sure as hell look like another Courtney Love....lol.........if you do get them get the long side swept.........good luck

bangs are going to be hard with wavy hair.. my sister has the swept bang & she has wavy hair. u have to blow dry them every day (pin them back if u don't want them that day) i too have them but my hair is straight. regulare bangs are a big commitment (plus kinda out) i would do it!

yes indeed dont get the bangs that are short. i have an oval face and my bangs are at the bottom of my eyes but go across my whole face good luck!

I think long side swept bangs look pretty good on most girls. Should be pretty on you too, and hey, if you get them done and decide you'd rather have them shorter, you can always cut them.

That will look really good. Just about anything works with an oval face. Besides, I have that style and I love it!! =)
