You'll live...Get some Lanacane for the itching and benadryl for any possible allergic reaction you may/might be having to the bite. If it continues to swell and hurt for more than a couple of days see your DOC. PEACE!

you might be allergic to them! My sis was and bites would be like the size of a baseball on her! If it is huge like that and you are sure it's a mosquito bite and NOT something else, just put some calmine lotion on it and take a benedryl.

Mosquito bites are usually not that huge and don't hurt, they itch. Get to a doctor, it could be a spider bite.

You should assess the bite. Do you have other symptoms (e.g., fever, extreme fatigue, head and body aches, skin rashes, and/or swollen lymph glands). Symptoms don't develop immediately (ususally 3- 14 days after the bite). Otherwise, don't itch!

Try cleaning it with soap and water and scrubbing with a washcloth. Rinse well, pat dry. Wipe with rubbing alcohol. Apply hydrocortisone cream.

If it seems to spread, gets worse instead of better, or if you run a fever at all, head to your physician as soon as possible.

I have huge Campho-Phenique and that helps a lot (not a nice smell, though.)
Clear nail polish works well to take out the itch temporarily, too

you sure you don't have infection ?
typically they are just an irritant. not "painful" or swollen
elevation, ice ( on and off)
seek medical care if not better in a day or two.
