Hey, this is your neighboor. I thought I made it clear to you that there is nothing you can do to take my 9 years old camping. I am going to call the police and I will let them deal with you.

Just imagine your neighboors see this question. Ooh, it will not be pretty. I agree with the parents that they are not letting you take their kid with you alone because you might be Michael Jackson.

Take an inflatable doll that looks like a 9 years old. It works better.

Do you have a kid thats friends with the 9yr old, otherwise I would think the same thing as the parents. Besides get Friends that are your age.

Well, if you have no children of your own, yeah...it with sound kinda sick to me too! What parent would just let their 9 yr. old run off camping with an adult that "just has a want" to go camping with their child? Yeah...sounds like "pervert" to me too..especially in this day in age. I wouldn't hold it against the kid's parents if I were you, you should expect that kind of reaction with a request like yours.

Well the fact that you want to take a 9year old camping alone doesn't sound good to anyone. Maybe you should invite his father as well, and he could bring a friend, that would probably be more fun, and his mother wouldn't worry knowing that his father was there with him.

Whether or not you're a pervert is not the point.

The point is, that boy is their son. If they don't want him to go camping with you, then it is their decision and you need to respect that.

Sorry, I wouldn't let you take my kid either. Unless you have a son who is friends with him. With the stories on the news you can not blame the parents for being a little over protective

Leave the child alone. If the neighbors feel this way, they could cause a lot of trouble for you. Stay away from the child!

They are the parent, there is nothing You can, or should, do. If you want to go camping, then go camping. Don't try to fulfill your life by using other families.

uummm, yeah! I would think the same thing too. Unless you have a son HIS AGE and they are friends, then that's okay. But you need to take someone your own age camping. don't ask them again.
