You have to clear your mind of the concepts of time, now, past and future. Not easy as this is what you've been taught since before you could talk and it's the way we live - time passes in one direction.
But look at it this way instead. Time doesn't flow past you. Time is static, it's you that moves. Nobody can 'see' into the future.
However, the whole idea of insurance, retirement savings, etc. is based on passed experience repeating itself, which very often happens.
As respects unforeseen events, that's God's job.
He doesn't actually 'see' into the future as he does - cause it to be.
That is, He will say something will happen ....but not because he KNOWS it will take place, but rather because He will CAUSE it to happen.
And sometimes He tells us in advance exactly what He will cause to happen.
