Your cat might be a Mainecoon, I have one and she does not meow like most cats she kinda whines, until she is very upset, say by another cat outside the window. Then she screams like a banshee, the first time she did this I was shocked, but my other "normal" cat didn't seem to think anything about her scream.

Some times cats lose their voices like people can, and they can get infections in their vocal cords. A friend of mine had a cat that completly lost her voice, and she never could meow again. As long as your cat is acting ok and isn't in any pain i wouldn't worry but if you think the cat has a real problem talk to the vet about it and he/she might come up with some sugestions or be able so solve the problem.

My daughter meows , that is a bigger problem. She thinks she is a cat, at times. Actually though...for her being only 2... imagination like this is kinda advanced.
Huh. Anyway... our cat does the same thing he is fine... always has been that way... just different...he eats bugs too. He is a mouser and an insector.

it must be that she in simple terms does not placed the potential into it. My mum and dad had a cat for a protracted time that did no longer meow in simple terms as a results of fact she became into so laid decrease back. Then, whilst they moved into an house, her stress point went up and we began to hearken to her. additionally, it must be stress that's inflicting her to no longer meow. in simple terms like as quickly as we get demanding laryngitis, she could be experiencing that.

What breed of cat is he? Some breeds have a different meow and it sounds wierd. So if he is of a different breed then you have nothing to worry about. Plus he could have born with it. Some people are born mute, your cat may have been born half mute. But hey, if he is healthy and happy, then you have nothing to worry about. Its all good.
