OK, religioustolerance dot org estimates the percentage of Christians in the world to be about 30%. We'll be generous and say that half of these are "true" Christians that are going to actually go to heaven. Everyone else will be tortured in Hell forever. If given a choice between two realities, which would you prefer to be real:
A. Heaven and Hell are real and you will spend eternity in paradise, while 85% of your fellow human beings suffer unimagineably for all of eternity.
B. There is no life after death and everyone just ceases to exist.
If you choose A. I would like to know if you feel that is selfish of you or not.

Just to clarify, I'm not asking what you believe is true. I'm asking which would you rather be true. Is it worth the majority of the world suffering forever, so that you can live in paradise. I hope that clarifies the question.

OK people please! I'm not asking if you would rather go to heaven or hell or if you believe there is one or not, OK? People obviously don't "choose" to heaven or hell. If you died and Allah was like "sorry, i'm sending you to hell because you rejected my teaching through my prophet", did you "choose" to go to hell? Of course not. People's religion is mostly based on the culture they are raised in. Again, my question is, which is preferable, a reality in which you get paradise but most get suffering, or one in which everyone just goes to sleep forever?

Christians are selfish. You will see, they are riddled with fear. Fear makes the human heart selfish, and Christians are the most fear filled people on Earth. They will tip toe around the question, never really giving you the answer that you asked for.

I don't just choose A but firmly believe it to be true (without the percentages which can not be confirmed at this time).
Of course this is not selfish of me, because all have the same choice and same opportunity to spend eternity in paradise. The only thing, and I'm very serious here, the ONLY thing that will send you to eternity in hell is to not accept the fact that Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth, and though He lived with the same temptations that you and I live with chose to live a perfect life free from sin, He was crucified on the cross for all of our sins as the perfect sacrifice, and then rose from the dead to ascend to heaven. Believing this awesome truth is all that one must do to have that wonderful life in paradise. It's not a selfish act of mine to go to heaven or to look forward to that life. It was Jesus' totally UNselfish act that allows us all the opportunity.

You forgot the "C" choice... there is a Heaven and a Hell, but "true" Christians aren't the only ones who will get to Heaven (at least not in my mind.) Stop being so presumptuous about everyone's beliefs.

Many think of that ghosts or apparitions are religious echoes of actually extreme moments in a existence. maximum in lots of situations violent deaths. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that spirits do no longer flow at recent to heaven. they ought to hold close someplace till the Judgment. The Bible mentions some thing approximately being held in an alter. immediately i could call it a protecting tank.

would you rather a life without happiness, if it also meant no sadness?
anyways, I'd choose A cause I'm selfish. On the side, I'm jewish. and we don't believe people burn in hell forever, especially people who had no way of knowing otherwise.

a. Heaven and hell are real.
No, I do not feel selfish because I don't choose who goes where, they choose.
Hell is merely the absence of G-d. So people who deny G-d are getting exactly what they desire.
