You must have the booking for the MOT. You must have the car insured If the MOT station is further than 25 miles away you must arrange another method of transport for the vehicle.

I know you can with no tax and mot but with regards to insurance I wouldn't like to say.

What I do know is that if you did have insurance and have been driving around with no tax or mot and had an accident you are likely to not get anything from an insurance claim because you are conflicting your policy agreement.

Your best bet is to get insured then go get the mot and then the tax, you can't get tax without an mot certifcate.

Its better to be safe than sorry.

You must have insurance, if you have no tax or mot you need to make an appointment with the mot station and explain it to them, but you can only drive there and back where you started from if it fails. This is as I understand it. I am no expert. I also believe you have to book into your nearest mot station to keep it legal, but do check with the mot station first.

It all depends! It is illegal to drive anytime without insurance, if you fail an MOT you can drive the vehicle to the retest provided you have booked an appointment. Your vehicle must be taxed up to date to be on the road.

It is unlikely that tax, MOT and insurance dates coincide (unless it is a brand new vehicle) in which case, why would you getting an MOT.

Check the source below if unsure, many people drive without insurance and only think of themselves not being covered. If you were to have an accident and kill someone, you could be paying for the rest of your life (in monetary terms) because you did not have the responsibility to insure your vehicle.

Your car MUST have a valid Tax Disc on display to be allowed on the road at all. And insurance in case of accidents on the way to the MOT Garage.

but make sure that you ring the mot station first to get an appointment. It is illegal to drive without insurance and you
