Nope - people who drive suck most of the time and piss me off as well. However, if you're getting worked up enough that it's concerning you, try working on patience - remind yourself that not everyone can drive as good as you and I...this makes us better than them. Let that happy little thought sink in and begin taking slow, deep breaths. Also, sometimes, I flip people off who can't see me flipping them off - it gives me a silent, happy level of satisfaction.

You need to learn some relaxation techniques. This could be dangerous to your health and may lead to you doing something dangerous to yourself or others.

My husband used to have a 2 hour commute EACH WAY. He has seen it all, been cut off, cussed at, run off the road everything. His technique was to play some classical music (just because you don't usually listen to it, it makes GREAT anti road rage music) he focuses on hearing all the instruments in each piece. He would usually try to drive around 5 miles over the speed limit and just ignore everyone around him when they were doing stupid stuff.

You may think that sounds hum-drum but I gotta tell ya, it did not take him any longer to get to work and back. Sometimes it even shaved about 10 or 15 min off the drive! And...when he got home he was always in a better mood and less stressed, angry and anxious. It took him some time and he had to put alot of effort into becoming more a relaxed driver but he has less indigestion is less tired. All that bad stuff stopped!

Give it a try. Just put on some relaxing music and drive along your merry way. Don't worry about all the other idiots and the stupid crap they are doing. Trying to get there the fastest or catch up with someone who cut you off just so you can give them the finger, all that stuff just takes up your time and makes you sick, literally!

Good luck.

It is a problem. Its road rage of a kind. You need a more productive outlet for your stress or temper, and probably learning some relaxation techniques wouldn't hurt. You could try joining a class of some kind — perhaps yoga, which would be good for mind and body. The good thing is you are recognising that the way you are behaving isn't right and want to do something about it.

Yes it is! You need to learn to relax when you are driving. Remember you are looking out for yourself, however you need to watch out for the other guy too. There is a fair amount of poor drivers out there now. Anger can throw you in to an accident. Its called road rage. Get help! Learn new techniques! We need more caring people like you! You can change your attitude if you want to. Good Luck! Hugs! Von!

Here is what I want you to do. When you are confronted by an idiot on the road -- wait 15 seconds before reacting. If they are still there, swear all you like. But the fact is that after 15 seconds almost all of them will be out of your life. Once you realize that, there is no need to be upset.

yes that's normal its just road rage and the majority of drivers get it, but just remember that when you get so mad that your heart races like that it takes its toll on your health taking years off your life expectancy and the other drivers cant even hear you so the only one your effecting is yourself

Its kind of normal cause I do it to if somebody cuts me off or whatever. Just try to not let those people get to you, you might be stressing out your heart if you can feel it. Chill out.
