Evangelical Faith healers, now that is an oxy moron. Benny Hinn in the late 80's was proven to be a fraud, all the people he has come up to be healed are plants, shills, so the naive people in the audience will empty their pockets to him, unfortunately it works. To many lonely people with too much time on their hands. I Cast you out o spirit of fraudulent actions! BE CLEAN! oh well, witches don't do that thing so it didn't work for me. *sigh*

I had a guy do that to me. He wanted to pray over me and get me filled with the spirit of the lord. He kept pushing harder and harder but I never went down. Never felt anything else pushing on me just him.

Benny Hinn doesn't push people over, etc. The Lord God does. I went to see Him in Portland & He has a way to build faith & people are expecting. I experienced it. He said to praise God & be expecting or something like that. As we were praising God He said, "Touch!".

I went back & realized that God touched me. I didn't realize what He had said when I have heard that before, when He said it. I thought, "What is Toosh?"

Benny Hinn operates under the anointing of God. He is obedient to God's direction, & it can be dramatic. People have to be desperate for God & have faith to receive God's healing also.

I have heard people personally tell me their testimony how God had a divine apointment to heal them, & God healed them by the faith Benny Hynn spoke into them. The last lady's testimony I heard, God miraculously healed, had been suffering with a painful, crippling disease. Benny Hynn said that who had been touched by God's electricity needed to come up. The line was long but some one brought her up front, where she was completely healed. She said she made a fool of herself up there, but God had healed her.

God directs Him to pray the healing anointing on people who fall & to pick them up & pray for them again.

Also to warn people of falsly accusing someone anointed of God ,being obedient to God & seeing people healed by God because of it, to accuse the spiritual of being something other than God is close to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit who is God & is healing people. There are immediate consciquences to this accusation / blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I love Benny Hinn & God has confirmed in my spirit that He Loves God & is obedient to God & God is saving & healing people because of Benny Hinn's obedience. Benny would give His life for the cause of the Good News.

you see benny hinn push people over but i guess you ignore their testimonies.I don't get you people the bible said these signs shall follow them that believe they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover etc, the minute God starts working through one of his believers you deny it's God at work he said greater things than this shall we do.

In charismatic Christianity it's called being slayed in the spirit. He isn' t pushing them, it's the Spirit of God coming upon them.

To make it look more dramatic, I guess. An ordinary miracle, like a successful round of rehab, just isn't exciting enough.

I always hope those are actors or something, and not real handicapped people he's beating on.

I've often wondered. In churches I've gone to, when you are slain in the Spirit, you stay down a while (to have sweet dreams, I suppose), and things don't get interrupted by somebody pulling you to your feet.

The key words in your question are "in the name of the Lord".

Think about this in light of the commandment "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain".

Well, as you said, he's doing things "in the name of the Lord" that God never directed him to do.

Sounds like he's breaking a commandment to me.

His brother Henry in Richmond Canada does exactly the same routine.

Something to do with being slain in the spirit... don't know what it means though... healing perhaps?
