Definitely....team sports build character and teach them sportsmanship. I get so frustrated with the younger children's teams that do not keep score or have winners or losers. There is nothing wrong with losing, as long as you give it your best shot. Today, parents are so into winning and having their kid be the best that it has taken much of the fun out of it for kids. Remember the old basketball Lifesavers commercial?
