hi summer.it's sadflower again.tried to send u a msg but i found out it is not possible.you will find a question from me now, that will tell u where i am..as for your smart question,i think that life has it's own wisdom to keep us always busy all the time..i remember that we didn't even had a spare time to do anything even before pc's..it was a big story to buy your things,to study,to make a research,to make a phone call, even to wash yr clothes n clean yr house, almost a hell of time was needed to perform the smallest details of our daily life.TECHNOLOGY made things easier, and it also saved us plenty of time to make our pc take most of our time and concern..

Its a while back so I can't really remember, but I think back then I actually had a life.
I vaguely remember TV, friends and long walks in the country. I remember going and visiting places all over the country and meeting new people, staying up all night talking.

Now I don't talk I just type, I know all my friends email addresses but not their surnames. Before I phoned people, now I just IM them. If I want to visit somewhere interesting I open internet explorer and type in the web address. I don't watch Tv now, I just download films and music.

Now I could not live without my pc.

i still don't have a PC.. using my flatmates spare laptop! before i move in, it was ps2, DVDs and videos only..
my g/f spends about 7 hours a day (minimum) on this thing (before, she'd spend £25 a day in the internet cafes!) and i spend about 6 hours! god knows what we're gonna do when we move out in two months! (can't afford to get one for the new place as rent and deposits, bills etc have eaten up our cash flow)

For academic purposes nothing very different, I'm still very suspicious of the net in terms of hard information. For leisure, I think it's replaced any time I spent listening to phone-ins on the radio.

Used a typewriter and carbon paper...
Stored our pictures in a shoe box....
Read books from the library....
Sent greeting cards via snail mail...
Read the National Enquirer for our gossip....
Read the newspaper or watched the news for info...
Used stamps...
Wrote our letters and watched our penmanship...
