Like many things in life, it all really depends. Like every person, every dog is different. The super-expensive food may be best for your dog, or it might make your dog sick (like my poor Apollo!). The best thing to do is to find a food that has the most complete nutrition and that agrees with you dog, and then stick with it! Dogs prefer a relatively stable diet, so treats are ok somtimes. Just find what's best for your Sibe! Good luck!

In truth, there seems to be no single dog food that is the best for all dogs and all puppies. Many vets recommend Iams or Science Diet however they are both quite costly and have the same ingredients as say Wal-mart Brand...so in all honesty it is whatever your dog enjoys most. I like to occasionally give my dog boiled chicken and rice with a raw egg mixed in. It makes her coat nice and shiny and she loves it! So that's my opinion of what dog food is best.

P.s. Have a look at this web site, it gives some pretty good information on the subject.

if you use a brand like Iams or Science Diet, your dog will eat less and be just as full. It's more nutitionally satisfying than Purina or other cheaper brands.

I fed my black lab Science Diet and she preferred small pieces. That's really the key is finding out if your dog likes big chunks or little bites.

When it came to treats, my dog prefered the cheapest brand of beef flavored biscuits I could find. Like the cheap bags from WalMart - Old Roy I think it was.

Table food is not a good idea on a regular basis. Your dog will come to "expect" table food and may stop eating dog food. Table food is for people, dog food is formulated for dogs. Leftover steak from a restaurant is ok as a treat sometimes. We all need treats sometimes, even your pooch pal.

Are you willing to pay big bucks for dog food? If you are, then AIMS dog food costs almost the double of Pedigree.

AIMS = $ 57.00 to $ 63.00 USD

Pedigree = $ 30.00 to $ 33.00 USD

Other brand = $ 12.00 to $ 19.00 USD

Now, these prices may vary from place to place. And these are 55 lbs. bags. I use Pedigree because I can't really afford the expensive one. Either the dog eats and I don't. or We both eat If I buy Pedigree. I know thay have more brands in the U.S. but these are the most common dog food brands.

Good luck on your decision...

I am a raw diet feeder myself, but i feed innova as a supplement when my kids have to feed my dogs and innova is a great dog food.
Feeding science diet, iams, eukanuba, pedigree, etc. etc. etc is a very bad idea if u want ur dog 2 have the proper nutrition. Vets will recommend science diet, but it is full of fillers just like the rest i have mentioned and full of by-products. Commercials promote dog foods like the pedigree and purina and iams and eukanuba, but they do not care what goes into the dogfoods. You can be feeding your dog cancerous chemicals and already cancerous meat when you feed the lowgrade commercial dog foods. majority of the dog food companies do not care about nutrition they only care about profits. here is a web site to read to tell u what is actually put into the dog foods.http://www.paws2heaven.com/What%20is%20in%20pet%20food.htm

I use to buy pedigree.. both dry and canned. the tiny bites..
Then I switched to Pro Plan.. I am so happy with this brand. There are no fillers.. this food has everything your dog needs to be healthy.. I still give a little bit of canned food, more as breakfast and evening treats added to their dry food, which is always left out for them.
Best advise, call your vet, American Siberian Husky club, or sledding club.. see what they recommend.
Are you going to sled with your pet..

Our dogs (we have 3) love Hills Science Diet Lamb & Rice formula. They like it better than Iams. Science Diet also makes an Oral Care dog food that really works to clean their teeth and give them fresh breath but the chunks are pretty big, but they like the taste of that one too.
