Usually around 12-13 weeks. Unfortunately you will have to wait until the next appointment. Have you asked to have an ultrasound? As long as your insurance will pay for it the doctors are happy to do it.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

First, I want to say Congratulations! I know how scary pregnancy can be after miscarriage, because I was in that situation myself (everything turned out fine). You must be even more worried, given everything you've gone through...Fetal heartbeat can be detected by ultrasound as early as 4 weeks along, but usually by 6 weeks along. Hearing it out loud will take a little longer. I pasted an excerpt from an article I found below. Good luck!

The Doppler instrument
After the 9th or 10th week after your last menstrual period, you might be able to hear your baby's heartbeat at your prenatal appointment. Your obstetrical practitioner probably uses a Doppler instrument for this purpose, which bounces harmless sound waves off the fetal heart. The way the sound comes back is affected by motion, so a beating heart creates a change in the sound that can be picked up by the receiver in the Doppler. Whether you actually hear the heartbeat at 9 or 10 weeks depends partly on luck-the instrument must be placed at just the right angle. It also depends on the position of your uterus, and if you're slim or heavy. By the 12th week, the heartbeat can usually be heard consistently, using the Doppler instrument for amplification.

It starts beating 22 days after conception, but is too small to be heard until 9 or 10 weeks. So you may be ablr to hear it tomorrow. If you can not hear it, it is possible you can see it beating on an ultrasound.
congrats!

Again, people answering without researching. With ultra sound a baby's heartbeat can be heard as early as 6 weeks (I did with my son). If you are high-risk, as I am, your doctor will most likely do an ultra sound to check to make sure everything is ok.

Your doc might be able to pick it up tomorrow, but sometimes they cannot find it until your 12-13 weeks. But more then likely you will hear it tomorrow. It depends on how big the fetus is already.

8 weeks, depending on your body size. Heavy women, it may take a few weeks longer. Also it depends on how the fetus is laying at the time the Practitioner is checking too! Congratulations!
