6 pound bags of Pro-Rated (Wellements brand) whey protein go for about $25 at Costco. Myoplex is a 3 stage whey (isolate, concentrate and casein). Pro-Rated is a 6 stage.
Were you buying the Myoplex RTD (Ready To Drink) shakes or the packets? The Original or the Deluxe?
Personally I don't recommend Ready To Drink proteins because protein breaks down and is only stable in powdered form. Secondly you pay for shipping costs on all of that liquid.
For right after a workout I prefer not to use a multi-stage protein. At that point I want something that is very quickly absorbed so I try to use one that is strictly a whey protein isolate.

You can buy EAS myoplex almost anywhere. If there is a BJs, Sams Club, or Walmart anywhere near you, you can get them. From personal experience, its best to buy them at BJs or Sams, as they are cheaper and usually come with coupons on the box. I would suggest the chocolate fudge original myoplex shakes, as they taste reasonably well, and have tons of protein. Let me just warn you though, this will not help you lose weight. By cutting out a meal for a protein shake or bar, you might lose some fat, but it will be replaced by a lot of muscle. So, don't get discouraged if you are trying to lose weight, because you are most likely losing fat, just not weight. I used the shakes last summer to get in better shape for football, with the hopes of losing aboutt 50 pounds and getting more muscular. I actually gained about 15 pounds, but all of my friends thought I lost some weight, and I was a lot faster than I was before the summer. The original myoplex shakes and bars are the way to go.
