Would Christians call themselves Christian and never in a life time read the Bible? Can there be one without the other?

Since Christian's existed before the bible was written, I see no reason why one has to be linked to the other. The Bible is not the only source of Christian faith on earth.

Yes. There are Christians all over the world who have never seen a Bible. Especially those in communist countries.

the first Christians had no bible. they had the gospel in the 'message'. gospel meaning 'good news'. so christians dont need a bible, but since today the world is full of so much doubt, thats the main place for ppl to grow in faith.

I don't think so. Without a Bible, Christianity would simply morph into a thousand different & almost unrealted beliefs (consider the denominational problem that we have now).

Its hard to remember all that happened in the bible if there was no bible because its what they use to teach and spread Christianity. so its a no.

There can be one without the other. However, it is more difficult to do so. Just because we have not been told does not mean that we have an excuse. People in africa that do not have any indication of Jesus still have the ability and right to believe in Jesus. Some do and are saved.

I believe it can survive without the Bible, but not without it's history.

Nope, who would belive that bullshit if it was not written.
And to guy who said about comunist coutries.. blalblalbla. If there is no bible there is no religion. One good thing out of Comunist countries. We did not even bother with stupid idea of some intelegent being who genocide every1 and wants worshipping for eternity. Its only for blessed idiots.
