My live in boyfriend is so annoying. he is pakistani and iam italian. we just moved in together like 2 wks ago. he wants me to be a slave to his every need, like he wants breakfeast at 5 am, wants his clothes ready when he comes out the shower, when he wants something he says it. what iam to do.. i love him but i can't deal with this. i told him yesterday that iam not his servant and we got in a fight.. what can i do..

I was engaged to an Middle Eastern Doctor. At first he was great and so sweet. But once he moved in to my condo in Chicago so that we could save money for the wedding, he turned into this monster. Seriously, he kicked my little Dachshund who subsequently died and engaged in mental and emotional abuse. He also had this secret gay life I knew nothing about until close to the end. Learn from me, it is time to get him out of your life, no matter how hard this may be for you. Middle Eastern men generally view women as slaves and personal whores. Of course, there are always the exception, but this is nothing to play with or try to work through. It can really escalate into a very scary and abusive situation. From your picture, you look like a very pretty woman who will easily bounce back from this experience. It's hard, but I am doing fantastic now. I adopted two puppies from a rescue shelter and have moved on from that in my life. You will too!!!

If you give in now you will be stuck doing it forever as he will think its ok. You will become resentful. Don't be his doormat or slave. Don't get up and make his breakfast anymore, just don't do it. And remind him before he gets in the shower to get his clothes ready because YOU will NOT have them ready when he gets out. Break him of the habit.
Tell him your relationship is based on you two being equal. And THAT is not negotiable!

Dear NW:
Let me suggest that you know what you need to do about your living arrangement. Of course you need to shuck him pdq. Here's the major issue to me. What is it deep down inside you that makes it OK for you to love (read "subject" yourself to) a guy who treats you like dirt, a maid, a slave, his cook, his valet, and, presumably, sex partner? I'd like to think love is a choice and I'd hope you can think about this.
