Do you think God really speaks that way like in the bible about some certain things like "Gays" for example?

To me, we make our destinies........and we have our way how we see life but do you think its cruel not to accept some certain things even it was from the bible and not really the "Man" saying it? Sometimes I think the bible is all made up by man, but I think God loves us, and if he thinks inpropriate, at least we know we are guilty...........

The Bible is the word of God. The Holy Spirit that reveals its truths to you. Now in order to reach this conclussion one must seek God and his word is the perfect place to start. It is hard to decide what is true without first searching for the truth.

I think God made it pretty easy for us...he gave us his son (Jesus) and told us to follow Him. He gave us a book to help us understand. He even told us in the book what would happen if we didn't follow Him and his Word. It also says in the Bible that no man shall lay with another man sexually, no it doesn't mention the work "gay" but it simply states that men with men is wrong. I believe that if you are drawn to something that you know is wrong, you should not act on it. Just the same way I may be attracted to another man that isn't my husband, but I am not to act on that attraction because it is wrong in God's eyes.
I also think that people take the Bible literally when some of it should be taken literally but some shoud not. A big key is when you read it and it says "it were as if..." then you should not take it literally.
There are some people that think that if they live a good life and don't lie, cheat, steal, or kill that they will get into heaven. That is not true. If you have not confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that He sent his only Son to die for your sins and REPENT your sins (not just ask forgiveness, but promise not to do them again) then you will not get into heaven. ONLY by doing these things will get your name in the book of life and reap the rewards in heaven.

God says that we all have sinned. There is forgiveness through Jesus Christ because Jesus was without sin. The whole Bible points to Jesus, who because of God's great love for us, is His way of bring us back to Him through the life, death on the cross, burial and resurection of Jesus, or as it is better known, the Gospel.

The Bible is God's Word to us.
It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21. (New International Version)

Breakdown of the Bible

The only reason the bible says homosexuality is an "abomination" is because back when it was written people thought that men had a finite amount of sperm. They wanted to populate the world and obviously two men cannot get pregnant together. So the men who wrote the bible said that homosexulaity was wrong so that people wouldn't waste their finite amount of sperm. Now we know men have an unlimited ammount of sperm but b/c this bs is written in "the book of god" people think these were gods words and not the fearful words of man.

If the Bible is from man, then how do you know anything about God yourself? Just assume things and hope that your assuptions are correct? Ever assume something about another person and found out later that you were wrong? Happens all of the time.

When you say "I think God loves us", that may be true, but how do you know? Are you not just a "man" making things up based on how you feel?

I think the Bible was totally made up by man and that a lot of Christians worship the Bible rather than God.

Well the bible was written by men inspired by the holy spirit meaning God wrote the bible through the 12 disciples and yes what the bible is meant to do is guide us to a better living and if it is Gods word then it must not be taken lightly.

I think alot of things are exaggerated by man. I dont think it's completely made up..they have to get it from somewhere. One the homosexuality thing, i'm for it. I'm a definite christian but I just find it hard to see that as a sin. IF it is a sin..then why does it seem like that one is worse than the others when they're suppose to be equal. all MAN'S doing. Not God. God loves us all

The bible is the inspired word of God. He may have used human hands to write His message, but it is His message. We do have the right to shape our own futures; this is the gift of free will. How we use it is up to us: either for the glory of God, or not.

We live in a society of relativeism, which basically says do whatever feels right and whatever is right or wrong for me may or may not be right or wrong for you. This is completely against what God teaches.

All anyone has to do is look to God to find out what the truth about right and wrong is. The first and easiest place to start is the 10 commandments. His truth is universal and applies to us all. We cannot pick and choose.

I sincerely pray for people living in a gay lifestyle. It is against what God commands, but He accepts all those who ask for His forgiveness and change their ways.

God bless.

GOD doesn't talk about gays in the bible, jesus never said a word about them either. many newer bibles that are supposed to be easy to read & understand are dangerous things because they translate the passage "for a man to lay with another man as a woman is an abomination to god" to say god hates homosexuals, no such phrase exists in the bible, my gaughter showed me one of these free bibles people are giving away and it actually had god hates homosexuals in the old testament. I showed her in my old king James it says no such thing so be careful about so called bibles and what people quote from them.
