There is an excellent book called 7 weeks to sobriety. It shows you how to deal with cravings, etc.

I use to be in the position you currently are in. You know what triggers (warning signs) your drinking but have no other way to get rid of the anxiety. You start going into a thinking pattern which always triggers you back to drinking. I found that going to a psychologist and getting out of my cognitive thinking pattern, and also taking vesteral when I felt anxious and wanted to drink, did the trick for me...You also are depressed it seems like, so why not give it a shot. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose...Good Luck....

Find something else to do. Alcohol is actually a depressant, and makes things worse.
Drink something that taste like the drink you are use to. Talk to friends. Lots of options, but you have to do it yourself.

just take it a day at a time.......find someone to talk to about what's making you sad.....a lot of people do just fall into a routine with having a daily cocktail.....or two.....go for a walk and/or have a cup of tea....just change your routine.....being worried you might have a drinking problem is actually a good sign. Try to change your routine first...don't be so quick with the labels.

Don't. Just put off your next drink for a little while.
I asked my ex-girlfriend's mother (who had smoked two packs a day from 15 until 35) how she quit smoking and she said "I never quit, I just put off my next one for a while." I asked her how long she'd been putting that off, she thought for a bit and said "fifteen years".
If you tell yourself you can't have something you think about it all day. If you tell yourself you can but "hm, not right now", then you just don't think about it as much.
