If it's a new visa card it's 16 numbers starting with 4. Older Visa cards have 13 numbers starting with a 4. The security code (aka CVV2 or CVV) is an additional 3 or 4 digits printed seperatley above the embossed card number or on the back of the card.
Should you get a another type of card, here's a guide to help figure out what the card number is:
MasterCard: 16 numbers starting with 5
Discover: 16 numbers starting with 6011
Amex: 15 numbers starting with 34 or 37

Card numbers are 16 digits long usually split into 4 groups of 4 and printed across the centre of the card. Yours will start with a '4'. Some cards also have the full number printed above the signature strip on the back of the card (followed by a 3 digit security code).

Hi its the big long number on the front of the card, its usually split into fours numbers in 4 rows. You if you are filling in forms it might be best to take your card with you caoz if you have more than one card, it may be to many numbers to remember and you might use the wrong card.
