The Christian god is anthropomorphic and thus manifests many human qualities (although the Christians would have it that they are in fact deimorphic).

Since he is indulged in his jealousy of other Gods, his self-aggrandising demands to be praised and his desire to reproduce and produce a son despite all the technical obstacles, it is only fair to allow him to exercise favoritism as well.

He doesn't care to name them all due to his anthropomorphic laziness (which is of course the reason he allows evil to exist as well, as he is of course omnipotent and omniscient).

I don't know what Christians think because according to the Bible the Jewish people are the chosen ones and where does that leave Christians? It never says they are given any preference.

Anyway, God doesn't have chosen people and cursed people, God doesn't really care one way or another. He set us going and now it's up to us to live life as the gift it is.

The 'chosen people' in the old testament refers to the Jewish people. He chose them that He might be their God and they a holy representative to the nations of Him, bearing His name from generation to generation.

In the new testament, being a 'chosen people' has to do with those chosen to receive the gift of salvation that they might be God's people...not superseding natural Israel, however. All of mankind has been chosen for that, but not all will receive it.

Those who are cursed are-

a) those who trust in man (as opposed to God) and make flesh their strength and who's hearts depart from the Lord. Jer 17:5

b) those who do the work of the Lord deceitfully and hold their sword back from blood. Jer 48:10

c) those whom the bible refers to as goats. Matt 25:31-46

d) those who taste of God by accepting salvation and then fall away, or walk away, from God. They are 'near' to being cursed. Heb 6:4-8

Why does it matter if the Christian God doesn't exist?

If the Christian God did exist, which category do you think you'd fit into: chosen, cursed or not named?

Why don't you really take a Bible study and find out...you seem like an intellegent person...He doesn't have to name them....You will know them by their works....and believe me, there are good and bad everywhere. We were given a choice, to either believe, and live our lives for Him and Jesus, or to take the other path, and render our vanity unto Satan the Devil..most people find it much easier to go Satan's way...It takes a true patriot to fight on the side of the Lord. Good luck...the Bible is beautiful reading, even if you don't believe it..but funny how it is the most widely read, and most feared book out there ...

For some reason, the people who wrote The Bible weren't as psychic as they would liked to have believed and didn't know about people named "Americans" or "Canadians." They only knew of what existed in their surroundings at the time.

everyone is chosen for a certain thing, that they hvae to accomplish on earth, they can chose to follow it or not, that's why we have Free Will, those who follow free will, are sometimes not named, but it's those who go against God entirely who are cursed
