I just got a 3/4 boston terrier 1/4 rat terrier, aka Brat Terrier.
Sparky's his name and he will get to be about 20 pounds, has lots of energy, loves kids, loves everyone as a matter of fact, especially loves to play ball. I never thought I would have a small dog, I just lost my Austrialian Shepard. I'm glad I listened to my boyfriend when he was talking about the breed.

Chihuahua, poodle, labradoodle, pug, pekinese, pekadoodle, miniature pincher, toy poodle, jack russell terrier, rat terrier, english bulldog (they are small, right?)

I'd add some ear plugs and plan on running a lot.

definitly get a dachshund. i have one and they can live up to 15 years or more if you take good care of it. mine is 10 already and faster and healthier than ever! great with kids too, and are so loveable. very good hunting dogs if you get a good strong one and they are fantstic gaurd dogs too. just leave yours in your backyard with a little bed and it will gaurd your house all night long. they have great noses too! good luck!

Why should they give it to you free? If they got the puppy his shots & fed him properly, they couldn't afford to give him away free.

Go visit your local animal shelters. There are lots of nice dogs who need good homes.

Look in the newspaper and on bulletin beards at the vet and grocery store, and word of mouth.

Get a russell terrier

My dog is a beagle / shelty mix. He's the best dog ever, but I'm not sure you can order one of those. He was abandoned and we adopted him, and he's fixed.... =(
