Files and settings transfer wizard! If you're using win xp (it's on the installation disk).
Or Just create a workgroup of the two computers (you're gonna need a network card, a hub/router/switch and a cat 5 cable), transfer all your folders into one folder and share it on your network, then you can access it from the computer you use. After that you can get rid of the work group if you want to.
Or burn the folders to a CD/DVD using the wizard in windows or third party software and then copy them to the other computer.
Or if the computer you use supports more than one hard disk, just transfer your hard disk from the other computer to it.

Use a crossover Ethernet cabel from the RJ45 port on one computer to the RJ45 port on the other computer. Use Network Wizard to set up connection computer to computer. The cable is not expensive. You can drag and drop files from one computer to the other one. Just be sure to give them time to fully transfer or you won't get it all transfered over.
Or if the files are few and there aren't many to transfer, you can use a flash drive USB, or burn them to CD. You should always back up your files anyway, so that you don't lose important data. Backup means to put it on other media other than your hard disk, because those always fail when you least expect it.
Good luck.

Got a flash drive? How many folders and how much info do you need to transfer? You can also get a transfer cable, usb type, that will let you connect them together and do it that way..
Or, if they're both working, and you have a router hook up, connect them both to the internet, sign on to messenger and send the files to yourself.

It depends on the size. If it's small, you can use a floppy disk. If it's bigger, you can consider using a USB drive. If it's huge, consider a network connection between the two computers.

Email, or some sort of external saving(i.e. a CD or Flash Drive) would be easiest if you have a managable number of files
