I hope this isn't your son..YES it will cause damage to his teeth..The child should have been off a bottle by the age of one and seen a dentist by that age as well.
The parents should be reported!

Of course, I drank milk in a bottle until I was 9 years old, but by then I could stick a finger in between the gap in my teeth!!!!! I had to get braces for about two years, and the worst part was a device they put in my mouth before the braces for me to stop using a bottle....it was bad. So the only damage is the aligment of the teeth...

Oh My!! He should have been off the bottle around 18 months. Of course if will damage his teeth -- it will push the front teeth forward and could cause an overbite which would require braces to correct. Take it away.

Yes, it will damage the childs teeth! The parent should be in control. My children would only eat candy if I let them. It is the paren'ts job and responsibility to be the one who makes appropriate decisions for their children. Take the bottle away! He won't cry forever!

All children under the age of 2 should be drinking a minimum of 16 ozer per day of undiluted whole milk. You need to re-evaluate his diet and stop diluting his milk. You are taking away necessary nutrients and fat for his little body to grow and develop properly. Make sure he gets plenty of fruits and veggies throughout the day. Fruit juice actually helps loosen stools, as do raisins, prune juice, etc. If after changing his diet, he is still having problems, you should call your pediatrician.

Yes, it is. His teeth can grow in incorrectly, and he can have other impairments, such as speech and feeding habits. Give him a big boy cup and tell him that he's a big boy now.
And go to your doctor, because there may be something wrong with the mother who has been giving her six year old son a bottle.
