Why do some people abuse and hurt animals.?

Question

I saw at animal planet that some people around the world abuse and hurt animals.

It's very sad too. :( Cause I see animals and dogs cry at their bad owners.

I feel broken hearted and I think all of you are feeling like me too.

because some people don't have time for an animal or they get one and don't want one, when the dog is bad it pisses the owner off and the owner hurts the dog as a punishment. i rescued both of my dogs from Joyful Rescues.

I don't know. It breaks my heart, I cannot stand to hear or see any animal abuse stories. I just read in China that there is a lot of rabies in dogs, so they are just taking people's dogs and clubbing them to death. It just makes me so sad. I know that people abuse animals because they are screwed in the head and they want the animal to feel as much pain as that person feels. I also think that men and their testosterone show off, by wanting to be "dominate" over their pet. Believe me, the dog or cat knows that the human is in charge, no reason to yell or hit to prove that point. I also think that it is just a lack of respect for animals. Look at rodeos and circus's , they abuse animals for entertainment. It just makes me sick, thanks for letting me vent.

That is such a complicated question. I think sometimes people are really insecure and feel that they need to pick on something or someone that they know won't fight back. Humans have gotten so far away from being compassionate and kind to all living things. Our society is all about violence , money , and technology the we have lost our true spirits. Let's hope you and i can change that and teach people to be kind to animals!

Well I completely agree on how sad it is, and confusing. But the way you asked the question is kind of like asking why is the sky blue. Don't get me wrong, i think you should have a logical reason to do something as crude as that, but it's hard to answer such a question. (but I'm not sure if your just saying a rhetorical question to get your point across.. if so, then oh well!) I hope I helped! And I think if you want your dog to die so it won't suffer as long, don't club it to death. Like in China, why couldn't they just put them to sleep, it's much more peacefull!

Those that are abusive and hurtful to animals are most likely
to become that way with people too.
Most murder's have abused or hurt animals in the past before becoming murders.

Alll over the world they do. In the US I have to assume it's due to some mental defect, childhood abuse, etc. In other countries it's a cultural thing. It was a matter of survival, but now it's different.

The kind of people who hurt and abuse animals have strong, sociopathic tendencies. They can't feel anyone's pain, animal or human. They are very sick individuals.

Because some people are simply simpletons and they have never learnt to respect other lving beings.
Some people know unconscioulsy that they are scum and let it out on animals. I also guess that people with lack of intelligence and who feel like they have nothing to say in the world because they have achieved nothing (spiritually, mentally, intellectually) live out their authoritarian dreams on abusing animals.
All in all they are all sick and will die soon anyway as they are stuffing their faces with fatty hormontreated burgers and acidy coke. ;)

People do that because they do not think of animals as living thing but object. Is they could see then as a living thing they may understand.
