I would say it is a Norwegian Forest Cat.
I had a NFCx and they are adorable. I don't think that it is a Maine Coon, as they are much bigger and their faces are different. They are very intelligent and the best character I have ever encountered in a breed. The first time I saw one of them in real life it ws pretty amazing. They are easily confused with Maine Coons, but are much smaller and more delicate built.

I would think he/she is an american short hair, or medium hair. I have a maine coon, they have broader faces and one hint maine coons do not meow when very upset they scream like a banshee, otherwise coons whine instead of a real meow.
