Microsoft Outlook freezes when i try to write a new message?

When I try to write a New message from my Microsoft outlook. It shows me the hour glass and freezes my computer. Please HELP

before you write your email: in outlook go to tools then options select "MAIL FORMAT" .. the first option will say message format and see if you have any of the options checked marked " use microsoft office word.......... " or Use Microsoft word............................"
if you have one of those checked then uncheck it, hit ok..
you should be good to go.
if neither one of the option is not checked then check the bottom on(2nd option)

please uninstall and reinstall microsoft outlook express. so that your problem will be resolved. this problem is due to corrupt system files. even try cleaning c:\windows\prefetch folder.
