I answered your other question too, so I'll paste what I wrote here.
I don't think it's Fifth's disease. The hallmark sign for Fifth's disease is a "slapped cheek" appearance.
I'm thinking it may be Roseola. Roseola is also called viral exanthum. It's caused by a virus and it starts out with a fever (often a high one), then the rash occurs after the fever subsides. If the fever and rash occured together, then it could be any number of viral infections as many of them can cause weird rashes in kids. Even though it is more common for young kids (under age 4) to get this, I have seen it in older children too.
Most viral infections in healthy kids aren't dangerous and will just resolve on their own. Sometimes it takes several days to several weeks for rashes from viruses to go away. In most cases, these need no treatment.
Here is a site with more information on Roseola:

If your daughter is no longer running a fever and is otherwise acting ok (eating, drinking, energy level, etc...) then this will probably be self-limiting and go away on its own without you having to take her in to see the doctor.
But, if she starts acting ill (high fever, sluggish, irritable, etc.) then by all means, get her into the doctor.

Hives itch horribly...I know I got them once....they lasted for 3 months. See a dermatologist it's probaby something else. Usually a severe allergic reaction or extreme stress causes hives, a high fever would not cause the hives. However an allergic reaction to medication while she was ill would.

Depending on where the "rash" is located...it could be sun poisoning. It doesn't itch and you don't have to get a sunburn to get it. More fair skin people get it, but you can get it if you are dark complected.
Look that up. That's strange that the doc you saw didn't give you any diagnosis. Call back and ask what it is. How did they say to treat?

Take that child to a pediatrician. I am a nurse and it sounds like an infection of some kind. I am not a doctor and he would have to ask a few more questions to find the cause. It is very important to get to the doc as soon as you can,. Please!
