Well I cut my hair right. But I wanted it shorter to look like this.

My mom didn't let me cut it that short. I wanted it shorter to make it have more of a vintage feel. How do I tell my mom to let me cut it shorter

That's really cute. Give it a few weeks - and then ask to go back for a trim. Maybe she was just in shock if you're hair was longer, and she was worried you wouldn't like it. After you both have gotten used to it, it might not be an issue if you bring it up again.

Good luck!

Eew I hate that hair! Don't do it!! Regardless of "trendy" or whatever, that hair will always considered "old". You want hip since you're young, not "vintage." Only "celebrities" can pull off hair styles like that just cuz they wanna be "different." I wouldn't care so much about that. I'd do whatever feels right or whatever makes your face stand out. Don't do it just cuz it's trendy. Maybe your mom's cutting you hair to where it fits your lil face. :) Moms know! :)

Do what ever you want. Mom's should let their daughter's have their own identity. Your mom is controlling. Did you show her the picture of Natalie that you wanted your hair modelled after? If your mom still says no, then get your grandmother to drive you to the haircutter place and get your hair redone.

tell her that you want to go for more of a "sophisticated" feel. This will make you sound more adult-like. Be sure to include things like, it will grow back over time, probably by next year.
good luck!

my moms the same way when it comes to hair :] i'd say make the best of the cut you have now. maybe experiment with highlights and lowlights if it's okay with your mom.

make small cuts gradually...like an inch every other week or something like that. It will give you and your mom a chance to get used to it.
