Long story short he's been upset lately (not at me) and while talking about it one day I made a joke about getting him a small gift if he trys to cheer up.
I'd like to make good on that joke.
What's a good gift idea for a new relationship, something sweet or funny - nothing sexual.
Preferably under 50 bucks since I said something small :)
If it helps he's a movie and music buff, loves zombie flicks. Quiet type so nothing too outlandish.

buy him RESIDENT EVIL games there r many zombies or a toy zombie or dress like a zombie =D (in the middle of the street and with voice moam) that will be fun but be careful not to get shoot in the head or somewhere else i love zombies to shoot them HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA in the game ofcoure where can u find a real zombie?

I guess i would like to know what he is upset about. Is he stressed out from work, or what is the situation. Lets say he is stressed from a lot going on.
I thought it was a little weird at first when my then girlfriend (now wife) got me a gift certificate to get a massage and a hand or foot hot wax treatment. It was kind of weird when I used it because I had never done anything like that, but something like might help him relax. (it might run a little more than $50 though)
take him to a sporting event, if he likes sports. just have a fun time doing nothing. Enjoy laying on the couch or give him a massage yourself. Nothing sexual. It totally relaxes me when my wife uses her finger nails to rub the back of my head. maybe he just needs a little down time.
If likes movies, find out what his favorite movie is and rent it or buy it, then watch it with him. Or just take a weekend night and have a movie marathon. get different kinds of movies and just watch them all. Make some popcorn and or some other snacks and just spend time with him. Hope this helps.

Well flowers it may sound like something that a man wouldn't like, but they do, sent some flowers to his work! I have sent or given flowers to a couple different guys and they love it b/c it was the first time anyone has given them flowers, and all of them thought it was really cool! If flowers isn't something you want to do, then a care package with some of his favourite stuff eg. coffee if he likes coffee, or what ever he is into!!

DVD, of some film or collection of films.
Silly- one of those cheesy plaques you hang on the wall, like of the cat saying somthing like hang in there. You know that kind of junk, or a kids toy for cute.
