THANK YOU!
Some people are under the misconception that if they pay a high price for a poor quality "which most the times it is" puppy/dog, that they are really getting something.
People still believe in "You get what you pay for" as if it pertained to any/everything.
In fact it doesn't. When you buy from a Pet Store, Puppy Mill, or a Back Yard Breeder, you actually get more than you pay for.
You get a puppy with all sorts of future needs to look forward too, such as surgery, to correct the congenital disorder that will show up by the times it's 2 years old probably. Then you get to look forward to paying for all sorts of tests, to figure out what causes it to have seizures, or limp, or lose it's coat, or many other things.
But you know what, some idiot will read this post and think:
OH I GET MORE IF I BUY A PET STORE PUPPY. You know they will. It just behooves me why people are so unwilling, and unable to educate on this.

Good question. All of my pets have been recuses. And, they seem to know on some level that you recused them. And yes, they have purebreds, if that's what you want. Most of the pet store puppies have health problems. If you have to go that way, go a respectable breeder.

i have adopted all but two of my pets (one purchased from a private breeder and a parrot from the store - out of pity for the bird). you are right, adopting is a much better alternative.
