i was wondering if anyone can tell me how to recognize if a girl i want to ask out is single or not.Are there certain signs i should look for or do i just take my chances and ask ?

Ask her out in a platonic way first - it will eliminate the embarrassment if she has a boyfriend, and if she doesn't have one then lucky you.

You should just take your chance and ask. Because you will really never know if you don't. What is the worst that's going to happen? She's going to tell you she's not single. Good luck with your search!

does she have a guy following her like a dog? A ring, a hickey, a cell phone that she has to answer to 'check in' - if no then she's single, if yes maybe she'd like to trade up.

every so often ask her what her plans are and if shes all like " im going out with ________" then it probly means shes with someone. ask people she hangs out with. watch and see if she is hanging out with the same guy everyday. ask her it will behard but you will get an answer good luck
