Often, apparent inconsistencies can be resolved if we just look at the context. Consider, for example, the often-raised problem about Cain’s wife. As is well known, Cain killed Abel; but after that, we read that Cain had a wife and children. (Genesis 4:17) If Adam and Eve had only two sons, where did Cain find his wife?
Where did Cain get his wife? Is there a logical Bible answer?
Yes, there is. It is pointed to in the very instructions given to Adam and Eve shortly after their creation, namely: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it.”—Gen. 1:28.
Obedience to this command would require that Adam and Eve have children. Then these children, in turn, would marry and bear children. This process of reproduction by succeeding generations would need to continue in order to fill the earth in harmony with God’s purpose.
The solution lies in the fact that Adam and Eve had more than two children. According to the context, they had a large family. At Genesis 5:3 we read that Adam became father to another son named Seth and then, in the following verse, we read: “He became father to sons and daughters.” (Genesis 5:4) So Cain could have married one of his sisters or even one of his nieces.
At that early stage of human history, when mankind was so close to perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the risks for the children of the union that it would today.
It is probable that, while yet alive, Abel had sisters; the record mentions the birth of daughters to his parents, but their names are not recorded. (Ge 5:1-4)
Cain went into banishment in “the land of Fugitiveness to the east of Eden,” taking with him his wife, an anonymous daughter of Adam and Eve. (Ge 4:16, 17; compare 5:4, also the much later example of Abraham’s marriage to his half sister Sarah, Ge 20:12.)

Actually they had three sons at the beginning (Abel, Cain and Seth). And, yes they had many children, male and female. And yes, they did marry each other. Incest did not become unlawful until the law was handed down to Moses. In the beginning, the gene pool was uncorrupted, but as more and more children were born, the gene pool go more corrupted therefore bringing mutations and deformities and therefore it was spoken against later.
Gen 5:3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and called his name Seth.
Gen 5:4 And the days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters.
Gen 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years. And he died.

I remember being told this story as a child and having no concept of procreation so it worked fine. strange isn't it that later on when I came to truly understand what it was, I was then told that "oh no there were other family members and god might have made others so that incest was not needed" what a load of bull!! say one thing now, another thing later, wow what a way to teach and learn!!! recently I heard a christian say that there was incest but only because it was necessary to populate the human race and once there were enough people it became a sin. another version is that it did happen but because they were so genetically perfect it didn't cause such problems as it would today!! that argument says that god wanted a race of retards and we are all them!! haha what a load of s@%t!! non of the christians can collectively agree on the same thing, it's so pathetic!

Adam and Eve had many many children.
Their genealogy is in Genesis chapter five.
Yes - they still, out of necessity, had to rely on incest for initial procreation. This was not outlawed by God until the Law of Moses.

Adam and Eve had more children. They just mention the two main ones. Actually it is possible that God created more couples after Adam and Eve to make it possible to populate the earth without incest.

Adam and eve had many many children in their very long lives...and yes the children intermarried in the beginning... that was God's will for that time...as it was for the time after The Flood.... it is not God's will that incest be prcticed today however.

In ancient historical writings, the girls were often left out of the mix. Therefore they got together with sisters.
