Is it possible that they serve any useful purpose. I can't imagine what. Curious if you have any thoughts about this.

Everything that God created is good because he is good. However, he has given us dominion over every living creature. So if you have roaches and want to get rid of them, you may want to try borax acid. Sold at Ace Hardware and other local stores. The instructions are easy to follow and if you have small children be careful.
