I used to be young and stupid and played "press down the lighter and make a smiley face" with my friends......so it was 4-5 years ago and they're a LOT less visible but I'm a little self conscious and want it to go away.....is there any good products/procedures to make em fade away? Or can I get a tattoo over slightly raised scars?

The best way I have done it is ,by excision of the scar tissue followed by skin grafting. It gives marvelous results.

Depends where you live. In Asia, there is a scar-fading cream called "Hiruoid" that visibly reduces the appearance of scars after you use it for several weeks.
I don't know if you can get it in North America or Europe---maybe with a prescription.

how old is the tattoo? if the tattoo is brand new you may be able to put something on the scars and make them go down. when one of my feet healed i had a small part that was raised and i continued to put A&D on it every day for about three months and it finally went down. not sure about scar cream and what it may do to the ink but if the tattoo is older then it is probably just scarred permanently.
