Buy a DVD-RW drive. They can be had for around $50 USD. Install it. Or get or build an external DVD-RW drive. I just built an ext. HD for about $100. The DVD-RW will need a larger 5 1/4 inch case, so it might cost a bit more. I hope you have USB ports.

After you get the CD or DVD drive your going to need a burning program in order to Burn CD/DVD's.
You need a burning program. I recommend downloading Nero 6 or 7 (both are just as good.) All you need to do to get it, is to search "Nero 6 Download" on google. Sadly the program isn't free, but it has a 30 day trial that is worth trying out.

Run down to your nearest electronics/computer store, pull 20 bucks outta your wallet, buy a dvd and/or cd burner, pull another 20 bucks outta your wallet, buy a bunch of blank dvds and/or cds.
Go back home.
Install your new drive and software.
Copy stuff.
Or network it to a computer that has a burner, copy the files over to it, and burn from there. But that sounds too complicated for you.

you should be able to get and install a DVD/CD burner for under 40 dollars, I am thinking you mean that you are missing the actual hardware. If it is just the software you might be able to get the original installation disk from whoever gave you the computer or get a driver download from the manufacturer.

you need a cd-writer for recording your data and movies and it is cheaper now but if you want to do both cd-writing and dvd writing then you have to go for DVD-WRITER.
for writing, u must install a nero latest version software.

You need a DVDRW burner - look for the GCA series DVDRW burners, or the newer 8x or 16x duel layer ones. Best you can get on the market is the LG burners.
