It depends in the relationship you enjoy with your BF. If both of you are quite open it doesn't matter who makes the first move. i think the second is the best. Not having to ask for something but getting what you want is always the best...in any topic.sex...gifts....etc i dont think the first would be ackward..i just think it would show shes not intune with your needs and wants.
