You were in a relationship for 4 yrs, on & off again. You would never tell your girl you loved her unless she asked. You never showed emotions because you were hurt in the past but you get a letter from this girl that ask you to comit or to forget about her. What would you do?

I would wish that she had told me in person. You need to see him face when you tell him to really know how he's reacting. Good luck!

Well... I for one am a shy person too. This one girl that I love helped my overcome that fear. Do you love her? If so, I would tell her that you love her more often. I know love hurts. Believe me, I know. Just make sure you have a strong friendship. Friendship and trust is the key. Without it, everything fails. Build on friendship. Become best friends and start dating. I would say... go for it. But let her know how you feel.

Oh... and make sure you respect her. Always give respect to women, girls, and children. Always... no question.

4 years wow well done!! if you do love this girl then tell her so then tell her that you don't want to comit to much. but she sounds like a good catch so don't let go! if that's not enough than ur on ur own mate.

I'd think after four years you'd be comfortable enough with her not to have those problems, that's coming from a guy who's still shy.

For starters .... I'd grow a backbone. Then I'd start think of what I want in a life and a relationship and not what others want of me. Then I'd make a decision on that.

Well...do you want her or not? If so just commit, not like your going anywhere with that shyness anyways. Commit first, there is always opportunities to break up later. Don't be those idiots who answer .."I don't know." You will lose her.
