You should consider some therapy - that kind of aggression could result in something serious!

yes, i agree that you have to find out why you become so angry And violent. if you wind up injuring someone rather than something you will be in very deep trouble at many levels. my advice, and i'm no expert, is to go the route of no meds unless amazingly necessary. i would try all other avenues first. you may be taking comments/behaviors by others far too personally. hence, the anger. this could be indicative of that very popular "problem" low self esteem. when you feel really good about yourself, and have really calmed down alot through using such things as exercise, meditation, "energy work" such as tai chi, yoga, etc.you become far less reactive, and far more detached from what others do or say. moreover, you become more tolerant and will "consider the source" without becoming so triggered. a lot of people are quite insensitive and say nasty, hurtful things to others. and that can really get you p.o'd unless calm prevails. so, perhaps some counseling? we all have stuff we need to process, that's part of the "joy" of being human. btw you might try reading *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom*--it explains how our mind often drive us to do foolish things. and gives practices, etc. to help train it to be on the right track, instead. also, check out www.sahajayoga.com for some good energy that will help you to stay calm. best of luck

Sounds like someone I know. I think it's better than hurting the person you are upset with. But I do think you should calm down some. You are the type to go a little overboard with breaking things. I'm sure it's not that serious.

each and every human being in this earth is born with two drives:eros(sex drive),thanatos(destructive or death drive)-both these drives are found in one's Id,the drives have got to be gratified at all times so the ego then comes into the equation and it negotiates with the drives not to kill nor have sex anytime but the ego gets this help from the super-ego which is the internal father figure, depending on how one was raised,it will be much easier for the super-ego to negotiate with the ego and the Id-so in you case you have a very strong super-ego that's why you break things cause you are supposed to kill instead you sublimate/substitute for killing by breaking things-there's absolutely nothing wrong with that cause thanatos gets gratified!!

Try doing some kind of physical activity everyday before you get mad. Getting rid of all your energy will put you in a better mood and if you do get mad, you won't have the energy to break anything.

Short temper huh! Well I suggest you have some unresolved issues (things that have happened to you which you have not taken care of) that can be one of the causes of anger. If you my friend will sincerely ask God for help and tell him in prayer what
your problem is, I'm sure that in your memory that problem will
arise and when it does, it is time to deal with it. If you don't know
how, find a friend, counselor, pastor, priest, whomever you may feel comfortable with. I honestly wish the best for you and please work with your issues.

first of all, you need to consider taking an anger management class or find ways to calm your anger down at an appropriate level. Your anger level is very high and you can frighten people for that. I am only here to answer your question.

Talk to a counselor or seek anger management. This isnot ok and will only get worse as you get older. One day you may take your rage out on a person instead of an object.

You need to control your anger! No one can do it for you! Life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it. So rethink how you take things instead of getting angry think of something good, loving, peaceful. Re-Think your thinking! Life is what we make it. Go to anger management classes to learn how to control anger. Anger is not a good thing. If it is Bad get rid of it. Happiness doesn't depend upon who we are or what we have; it depends upon what we think! Good Luck! Hugs! Von!

Do this, instead of breaking a desk, hit your
knees or your head, that way you'll be better at
controlling your anger

Character and intellect. These are the two poles of our capacity; one
without the other is but halfway to happiness. Intellect is not enough,
character is also needed. On the other hand, it is the fool's misfortune to
fail in obtaining the position, employment, neighborhood, and circle of friends
of his choice.
