the Bible mentioned more than 5 people as son of God. one of them was Adam.

the word son in the Bible does not mean sons as we understand today. the word son of God, sons of God, children of God means an honor servants of God. God is above of having a son. he is owner of everything exist, nothing like him or comparable to Him.

The significance of a son is family. Adam was family in relationship to God. Isaiah says unto us a son is given (the Messiah from a virgin, called Everlasting Father). Now to be a Son (by adoption) is to be born again. Not all are children of God because they have not accepted the adoption.
Of course, we may start out as children of God (asking our father in heaven for things out of selfishness and ignorance, but we eventually are recognized as sons (a son will try to be like his father).

Born once, die twice.
Born twice, die once.

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
Rom. 8:15

Why would we call God "father" if we are not his children?
And God is not above having a son, His son was Jesus. We are adopted into the family of God through his true Son's sacrifice on the cross.

In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
Ephesians 1: 5-6

So we are not the physical heirs in Christ, but the spiritual heirs. we are sons and daughters by adoption

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Rom. 8: 17

A Muslim I presume?

Let me take you on a course of Christianity 101

This is what the Bible says about Jesus, read and weep:

Psa 2:7 I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you.

And of course, no one is higher or equal to God. Jesus is God himself. God begetting is God humbling himself in a man.

Understand?

Where did you come up with that one?

Each and every one of us is a son of God. In some faiths this is callled the sonship of God. In others It is called the mystical Body of Christ. It is a fairly commonly accepted article of faith in many religions.

What religion is it that you are getting this Idea from?

correct> "son of" doesn't LITERALLY mean a son, but someone who has a close relationship or to be a part of something> IN Jesus' case, he has a real close relationship w/ god because he is a part of the holy trinity (god). Jesus was the PERFECT "son of" god, since he had NO sin, that is why he is the messiah or "annointed one" In the old testament, God reffered to Israel as his son and other characters also, but they weren't the perfect "inheritors" of his glory and power, it was until Jesus came that he was the chosen one>peace.

Why are we so happy about serving someone when we all scream about democracy and free will? No thanks. I am loyal to my family and friends, not some invisible man.
