one way that you can do it, is place a hot wash clothe over the bruised area...this will create heat, and get blood to the area...the more blood that goes to the area, the faster the bruise will go away. you want to be careful not to put too much heat, you don't want to burn yourself...you just want to get the blood moving.

Time. You can cover it some what with make up but until the bruise comes to the surface of the skin and fades it will be there.
Oh by the way, putting ice or cold compresses on it will force it to do this more quickly but it will look worse than it does until it starts fading.

An old fashioned remedy is to get a steak and place it over your eye. I'm not sure why. An ice pack might help. The bruises are caused by capillaries bursting, and losing their blood all over the place. So anything that will coagulate the blood, or send it on its way will help to fade the bruise.

white toothpaste can help fade hickeys, so I guess it would work for black eyes too, since theyre both bruises.

Nothing. Use makeup to cover it up, but be aware that it'll probably show through anyway. I wouldn't put toothpaste near your eyes, even if it does work for hickies. Toothpaste would really sting.
