You should probably give more details but right off of the top of my head the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Chevrolet Malibu all make good choices. Although the Malibu is probably a better deal used as so many Malibus enter rental fleets across the country.
If you're looking for excellent fuel economy the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla are excellent choices as 4 doors.

Not only is it a new model, it gets 30mpg which is about twice the normal SUV will get. It is a cool new model and you'll be the only one with it for a while till they get popular. Its very loq priced too, it has the height of a car but the stance and features of a Jeep, so you have the capability to get through anything that crosses your path.

A relatively inexpensive 4 door, with excellent mileage and reliability is the Toyota Corolla. We have one and it has proven to be very durable and comfortable.

Nothing from America, meaning no fords, lincolns, mercurey, chevy, pontiac, gm, etc. Look itno Honda and Toyota, there quality without a price tag.

I like the Impalas. I have an Oldsmobile Alero, but I like my fiance's 2003 Chevy Impala better. They drive very smoothly!
