the religions have similarities as well as major differences. I'd trust Christianity (catholicism) w/ all my heart> Jesus is the son of god and our savior> retain your faith and your husband should respect it>

I am not sure about the Quran ,but the Holy Bible says that Adam and Eve came first and all those who said evolution its been disproven ummmm how many times and if there myths why do most of the stories or major events in the Holy Bible and the Quran a similar version can be found in almost every culture. Basicly though several things differ between the religions most religions and culture tell about many similar things.

Frankly, neither is literal truth.

The first 40 chapters of Genesis are a series of myths, mostly lifted from Sumerian mythology and used to hammer down the truth that there is only one God, NOT a pantheon of pissant deific wannabes.

The Q'uran cannot be any more accurate on this issue since Mohammed lifted his version from Genesis, filed off the serial numbers, and claimed it for Allah.

Biology, physical anthropology, genetics and paleontology all tell us that the original human being was: A) female and B) lived more than 200,000 years ago. If you simply MUST name her EVE, then Adam was her SON, NOT her mate. (mitochondrial DNA, very fascinating stuff, shows this to be physiologically TRUE, no ifs, no ands, no buts, no maybes).

If you and your intended are gonna come at odds over the differences in your respective faiths, try this one instead.

Mohammed's original bright idea was to unite the Arabic tribes and give them some political and military clout in the region. Trying to politicize them didn't work, so he went off and came back with the Q'uran and faked 'em out through religion. Don't knock it. It worked, big time. But the Q'uran is self-evidently a paraphrase of the old and new Testaments of Scripture with whatever he deemed unnecessary omitted and some nice, comfy old Beduoin customs left in to make it more palatable to the natives. Kept 'em from gettin' TOO restless, doncha know.

Who knows? Why bother with that kind of BS? It's all made up anyways. If you are married to someone of a different religion, it can be hard not to argue about everything you were taught. My advice is just don't talk about religion if you want to keep your marriage.

Good luck!
