I cannot love without the help of Jesus, let alone love my enemies. But, because Jesus loved me first, I can love my enemies. I will not lie and say I love them and everyone else all the time, because "no one is righteous, no, not one." But I do try my best, because that is repentence. Jesus loves you!

I love my enemies. I do not agree with what they do, but I love them. It is not a paradox. Every person is sacred and deserves to be treated as such. This is the type of love the world needs. Loving your enemy can come simply by trying to see things from their persepctive. It is about respect. It is about human dignity.
To all of you who say you are Christians but admit to not loving your enemies, please see Luke 6:27.

This is one of those questions that really points out how Christians and people of other religions really love to paint everything as black and white. Sorry, but the world is grey. You can't cleanly divide it into friends and enemies.
Everybody around you has things you like about them and don't like about them. Whether you love them or not depends on how much bad there is versus how much good there is. Emotions you feel for someone are fairly automatic. We can't turn them on and off like spigots. We should, however, work on controlling how we express our feelings.
Our actions for other people are not necessarily dependent on what emotions we hold for them. You might not like a coworker, but you still have to be civil towards him. In this case, it is more important to establish your own character than display your feelings about another's character.
Also, because people change, you have to allow for the fact that people can redeem themselves. Perhaps there was miscommunication. You also have to consider the situation the person was in and why he might have acted the way he did. It might also be your situation that caused you to take someone else in the wrong way.
Don't feel ashamed about what emotions you feel. Instead, try to figure out why you have those emotions. You probably don't hate a person. You probably hate something about that person. It is useful to figure out what you like and dislike about someone or something and why.
Instead of loving your enemies, try to understand them, and in return, understand yourself.

No, nobody loves their enemies. The keyword is AVOID. Avoid your enemies, and neither hate/love will exist.

I don't have any enemies but if I didn't hate them they wouldn't be my enemies. What kind of stupid phrase is that anyways.

I love everyone, good and bad. That does not mean that I have to put up with them or respect them.
