MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) It is a program that allows you to Arcade games on computers, xbox, pocket PC, or PSPs and many other devices.
I recommend Mameplus. it is an easy to see and use front end.
For roms I recommend romnation and rom world. both have other emulators and roms for those emulators. Don't expect to find a emulator for PSP, PS2, XBox, or Sega Saturn (that work at least)

Mame is an emulator for old videogame systems. Like Coleco and Intellivision.
Google 'mame emulators' and you will find a buttload of stuff relating to it.

dont use mame use Project64 or 1964 use those!!!
there are lots of emulators for SNES NES Nintendo64(the above emulators are for nintendo64) theres Playstation, SEGA, soo yea
the best emulator for SNES is snes9x (super nintendo entertainment system)
the best for nintendo 64 is Project64 1964 go to www.project64.com or look it up at google

You can find roms for MAME on http://romhustler.net. Here you can find also emulators for all platforms and roms for all emulators of course.
