BE CAREFUL about online universities. I took one class with the University of Phoenix and will NEVER go back. One 3-credit-hour class cost me over $1,000.00, and the University of Phoenix makes you do "group projects" for your final grade. Well, I was in a group with 4 other people and only 1 of them contributed to the final project. We complained to our instructor, but he said we had to keep working with them. Sorry, but I'm not putting my final grade in someone else's hands. Give me a grade for the work I do, not a "team" grade where most of the team is useless.

Online degrees are gaining more respect. A friend got into law school with an online degree. The CEO of my hospital got an online Masters. Go for it if you have limited time and can't get outa the house. Unfortunately it ain't cheaper.

you need to make sure the course is an accredited program....I have an accounting degree from thomson direct and was hired as an office manager w/ strong accounting w/ my degree...it was easy...you have a little longer to take a semester than at a physical college...I tested online and once I passed I would receive my next course supplies in the mail. good luck!!

An online degree from the right school is as good as any, however, be aware, online degrees are VERY expensive.

I did mine through the local community college, instead of through those you see on the internet and on television. I was able to research, register for classes, etc. all online. I LOVED it! Our prices were an average of $150 per class (business classes).

Whatever you choose, please be careful of these $$$$$ "online colleges". I would highly suggest you check with a local community college!

Good luck with furthering your education. I am sure you will be happy you did it!
