My dad works for a college. And last night at dinner, he told my sister she had to write a 10 page report on her trip to france. and she is so busy. Between us babysitting all of our little brothers and sisters, cleaning & her trying to keep her job she doesn't have time for school work. Thats why she needs help. She couldn't start any earlier. She didn't know she had to write it.

This should be a breeze! First of all, you have already done all the research, it's all experiential, and you just need to tell your story. Start off imagining that you're talking to an old friend, who didn't know anything about France, or why you went there.

Explain the reasons, (the goals) for the trip. Then develope the scope of the experience (ie, see 3 cities in 4 days) give him/her a picture with words of what your initial impression was with the first city you experienced. Compare that with the second place, compare both of those to what you would have been doing at home, how is it different? Describe what your overall impression was: (what struck you as wonderful, awful, confusing, or what was a unique experience of that place, or those people you met there?) Then compare all of that to that first impression and see if anything changed with your exposeure.

Then explore whether or not you accomplished your goal for going. If you changed your plans or focus midstream, why? How did that effect your total outlook? If it was what you expected, then just wrap it up with a strong statement that summarizes it, and ends it on an upbeat tone. If it was great, that's easy to do. If it was disapointing in any way, you get to clearly state what you learned, and what you would do differently the next time you head out for an adventure.

Try not to get lost in a lot of specific travelogue events, unless that was the most important part to you. That just sounds like what people write on the back of a postcard to your relatives. This doesn't have to be a boring task, it's actually exciting! Remember, it's telling YOUR story. So tell that story the way you would want to hear it, as if you're talking to a friend about a very special, fun time. Good luck!

Well, I am assuming you went to France and therefore have pictures and memorabilia from your trip. You can do a title page with a collage of pictures of the places you visited. Then, you can scan the pictures you took on your trip and write about what you saw or did and felt at each place. Start with a description of the site, event and, if relevant, a brief history. Then tell what you learned and how it affected your life.

My kids have been to many countries and I have made them put together a portfolio of their travels. Before they leave, they read about the things they will see. They then visit the places and take pictures, save ticket stubs, brochures, etc. After they return they write about their experience. It is something they really value.

chill out, i wrote an 18 page essay in a day saying a day it took me from 6pm to 2am, just chill out calm down, take 15 minute breaks every hour and a half. make sure you have lots of water and things to eat, dont tire yourself out, ok your trip to france discuss your travelling there, maybe you had to ask a person in french how to get to a certain place, then discuss your accommodation, what food you had to eat, then where you went to visit like eiffel tower, possibly talk about the louvre, Notre Dame, disney land. Say you made a friend there called Jean-Paul lol or something.

Just BS a lot. English is one of those subjective fields of study. All you have to do is write 10 pages of anything at all with good grammar and spelling, and you'll probably get half credit at least. You waited a bit too long. Good luck!

advice???

stop putting things off until the last second...

I'm pretty sure that you knew about a 10 page paper more than a day before it was due..

hope that all the things that were more important were worth it...
