She is just fine. She should be hitting a growth spurt around 12 or 13. My daughter is 6 (almost 7) and weighs right under 50 pounds. She just out grew a size 5. The doc says that as long as they are eating the right things and getting enough exercise, they are fine.

A youngster at her age, she is probably going to be around the 4'5" height area. Thus saying, 70 pounds is a healthy weight for her. (63-93 lbs) Im not a doctor, neither a girl, so i cant help you on the sizes, and which is healthy or not. the site is listed below

Chill out? Every child is different - she is small for her size. As long as she eats healthy, gets all her nutrition and doesn't exercise too much, leave it alone. I was 4 foot 6 inches and about 80 pounds at 11 but hit my growth spurt at 12. I am now very "normal" sized as an adult. She might not have hit her growth spurt yet and if you harp on this, you'll give her a complex.

Some people just have an odd metabolism, and can't do anything about it. It's how there body is made. My best Friend is 14, and wears a size zero and she weighs close to 90 pounds. She is totally healthy, and has just naturally been ultra thin through her whole entire life.

I was a freshman in high school and still wearing a size zero in womens and still some "girls" pants. If your daughter is petite then there isn't much you can do about it. She'll grow, but if she's in sports and very active, her metabolism is higher so she burns all the food she is eating while exercising. I would ask your doctor if you are that concerned.

It depends, does your family, run through a very thin side, it doesn't matter how tall she is, if she has started her period, then trust me she pretty much already done growing, and honestly you shouldn't be trying to make her gain weight, if the doctors say thers a problem with her weight, they'll do somthing about it.

Your doctor should have been charting her height and weight with each visit to make sure she is keeping up with what is expected for her age. Go back to the doctor for a checkup.

If she is eating a healthy diet and is getting plenty of exercise and what she needs to be healthy and to grow, i would say to leave her alone. she is still growing and has plenty of years left to grow, so her body will naturally start to gain weight, in the right proportions, when it is ready. i don't understand why parents are so obsessed with children's weights nowadays. they shouldn't be unless there are extemes like obesity or the child is under weight so much that it is affecting their health. if she seems happy, and is acting like a normal child and has no obsession with her weight, i would say leave it alone. if in doubt, talk to her pediatrician.

she's normal don't worry about what other people say. I was like that and I turned out fine! Actually though if you want her to gain wait, that would be ok, but just don't overdo it! :-) Good luck.
