A 15-month old still needs a nap. She's not trying to "run" you as another poster suggested. Children go through phases and their needs change. It could help to try to rock her to sleep in a rocking chair or in your arms, rub her back and say soothing things to her in a low voice, go for a drive at the time of day when she usually takes a nap, sit in a darkened room and read her a gentle bedtime story. Do things which are soothing and calming. Some kids (and adults) have a hard time letting go and falling asleep. Children sometimes just need a little help. They will grow out of that stage eventually. In the meantime it's important to nurture them and not just let them scream it out. That could cause more anxiety around bedtime / naptime for both caretaker and child.

No she is not to old for a nap. At this age she should still be taking a nap. If you lay her down let her scream it wont hurt her. She is tying ot get your attention and that is what your doing your giving her, her way. Lay her down and let her know that your the boss and if it is nap time she needs to take a nap even if she dosnt sleep she should at least stay in bed for about an hour.
Dont let her run you.

It probably is a phase, but she does still need to take a nap. As mush as it may kill you to let her stay in there and scream...I would. She is at an age where she is smart enough to know that if she screams she will get picked up. This was one of the hardest things for me to do when my son wouldn't go down for naps or at night. She needs to know that you run the show...not her.
Good luck!

It may be a phase. My kids have gone through it where every couple of months they don't nap during the day. They will start to again.

Yep, she might not need one anymore. I think it varys kid to kid. My son stopped taking naps at about 1yr. Boy did I miss them! =) Just let her stay up and see what happens. Maybe she needs to skip the nap and go to bed earlier. That's what my son did.

keep laying her down. She is tired but she is at that age where she can see everything and get into everything and explore everything. Who wants to quit exploring and sleep?! Lay her down and let her rest, she'll be in a better mood and so will you!

If she's screaming in her crib, she obviously is not ready to nap. Please don't ever leave a child crying alone.
every child is different, you can't judge her by him.
