Actually, I work for a health department on the other side of the country, and we received a few reports of some girls (who are residents of our jurisdiction) who were at summer camp in PA. A gastrointestinal outbreak occurred at the camp and many girls were sickened. These girls were sent home and reported, and we had been coordinating with PA to deal with the outbreak.

As for stomach flu (norovirus), it's odd that you'd have an outbreak of that this time of year. Norovirus is usually associated with winter because people tend to be more confined indoors, where the virus spreads readily and rapidly. Then again, Norovirus also spreads quickly on cruise ships, and they do see a lot of Noro in summer (since that's when ppl like to travel.

Well I don't live in PA I live in OH. We had a crazy stomach flu going on around here a couple weeks ago. It was not fun. You couldn't eat and when you need to eat it would all come out (not up if you know what I mean.) in a couple of hours. It lasted about a week and 1/2.
